Social Support
Our Social Support Program (formerly Intake) provides information, advocacy, and referral services within the LCRC and to external agencies. Our social workers also offer emergency support and services, as well as crisis and short term counselling for individuals and families.
Caring & Sharing and Toy Mountain
This program offers Giant Tiger Gift certificates or Hampers, as well as toys from Toy Mountain to families who qualify. Referral criterias are low-income revenue, living in LCRC catchment area, and being the legal guardian or parents of the children
(referral for the toys). Please bring documents to register.
Back to School Program
Provides school supplies for Lowertown youth (Kindergarten to 8th grade). Registration required.
Important note: We do not offer services during lunchtime (noon – 1 pm).
Community House
Our Community House (located at 145 Beausoleil Drive) provides educational, recreational and social programs that meet the needs of the residents of Lowertown East. The Community House also offers a physical space for residents that facilitates the identification of community needs, encourages the social integration of its members and promotes harmony and greater community participation.
Catchment area:
Boundaries for the Community House services: St Patrick Street (North) to Rideau Street (South) and Vanier Parkway (East) to King Edward Street (West).
Boundaries for the Food Distribution Program: same as for all other services plus the By Ward Market area from Boteler Street (North) to George Street (South) and King Edward Street (East) to Sussex Parkway (West).
Food Distribution/Food Bank
We offer emergency food supplies (full once a month, based on availability) to Lowertown residents (see boundaries/catchment area). Please call (613) 789-3930 to make your appointment.
Tuesday from 1 PM to 5:45 PM
Wednesday from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM & 1 PM to 3:45 PM.
Thursday from 9:30 AM to noon
Millennium Learning Centre
Free access to computers, printer, photocopier and the Internet.
Programme de bénévolat
Le programme de bénévolat vise à développer un réseau de bénévoles qui peuvent contribuer activement aux activités du CRCBV.
Qu’il s’agisse de briser l’isolement social et de se faire des amis, d’offrir une occasion de redonner à la communauté, de pratiquer l’anglais et/ou le français, de compléter des heures de bénévolat au secondaire et d’acquérir une expérience de travail ou de participer à un travail pertinent et valorisant, il existe des possibilités de bénévolat avec le Centre. Ce programme fait concorder les besoins des bénévoles avec les besoins du Centre.

Basse-Ville Notre Chez Nous (BVNCN)
LOH is a project in partnership with Lowertown residents and community organizations with the objective of preventing crime in the community. The goal is to actively engage the community to identify safety concerns in the neighbourhood, as well as facilitate solutions.
Lowertown Voices CommUNITY
Un partenariat entre Multicultural Arts in Schools and Communities (MASC) et le Centre de ressources communautaires de la Basse-Ville (CRCBV). L’objectif de cette vidéo est de créer une plateforme permettant aux résidents d’exprimer leurs opinions sur la sûreté et la sécurité au sein de leur communauté, et de mettre en valeur l’UNITÉ au sein de la communauté de la Basse-Ville.
FestHiver
FestHiver est une fête communautaire organisée par les partenaires de BVNCN qui se déroule à chaque année dans le parc Jules-Morin lors du congé de la Journée de la famille (20 février).
